It is my privilege to represent the citizens of House District 50B in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

I’m deeply rooted in Bloomington, which I have served for over 25 years as a City Councilmember, Planning Commissioner, Housing & Redevelopment Commissioner, Metropolitan Councilmember and, for the past four years, as the Representative for the western part of the City in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

I currently serve on the Transportation, State Government Finance & Elections, Local Government and Commerce Committees where I have leveraged my life experiences in economics, information technology, local government, transportation and healthcare to became a legislative leader on subjects including health care access and cost control, transportation, housing policy and and consumer data privacy. A member of the bi-partisan Civility Caucus, I have cultivated a reputation for pursuing a thoughtful bi-partisan approach to legislating which incorporates the suggestions of all stakeholders to achieve consensus on carefully considered legislation, even on these complex topics.
